You can feel good that your stay has low environmental impact, possibly even better than staying at home, where all the family have every device on much of the time. Here you can unplug from modern life and enjoy the natural rhythms of nature and feel the pressures and stresses of life melt away. Our site is run with sustainability in mind and is ‘off grid’, so there is no mains electricity.

The Blean woods stretches for miles and is within 100m of the site, so bring your walking boots and enjoy the many pretty footpaths. If you prefer the sea, the famous seaside town of Whitstable is just a few miles away.

On arrival, you will have a Canvas 5m Canvas Bell tent already waiting for you – and all you need to bring is your personal belongings and food! Please bring your own towels and extra torches for toilet trips.

Inside you will find:

One double bed
Two single beds

Outside you will find:

Clean, running drinking water
Enclosed solar showers (Solar bags are supplied)
Waterless compost toilets, which are refreshed regularly
Outside dining area with picnic table, parasol, double gas stove, camp chairs for 5 people, fire pits (logs are provided on site)
All utensils needed to cook simple meals; Camp kettle, frying pan, one saucepan, spatula, knife, bottle opener, tin opener, plates, small bowls, cutlery, Cool box
One charged LED lantern, water carrier, trugs for washing up, washing up liquid, hand soap, microfibre cloth and tea towel, First Aid kit, Fire Safety Blanket.

Eco Hut

Experience our Eco Hut!

A unique experience, the ‘Eco Hut’ has a wood finish and is insulated with wool, with a wood burner for colder nights. It is furnished simply, with a comfy double bed and a modern sofa bed. There is a camping stove and cooking utensils are all provided. The compost toilet and shower are near the Eco Hut. The site is ‘off-grid’ so a great escape from modern life.

The view of Blean Woods is stunning and only a short walk away, with Whitstable, Canterbury, Faversham and Pebble Beach all located within a few miles.

Sleeps 4 and amenities include:

Essentials: Fresh bedding is included on all bookings (unless you prefer to bring your own). There is a double bed with a memory foam mattress, a sofa bed and a camp bed, (sleeps up to 4 people total).
Heating: Wood-burner (Please note, Firewood will need to be ordered when you book)
Family features: Children’s books and toys
Facilities: Free parking on the premises
Dining: Outdoor kitchen space with own outdoor double gas burner and BBQ
